Experiential DesignerWhat does it mean to “Live Brash”?
I coined the term in 2013, when I graduated from George Brown Colleges Jewellery Methods program, as a way to give myself permission to live out loud. Many people find themselves backed into a corner and forced to fit into a predetermined box.
What if we knew that we didn’t have to?
What if we were given the opportunity to take up space and live in a way that comes naturally to us.
I strive to have the audacity to be audacious.
Getting to know me, Getting to know all about me
Currently based in Brampton, Ontario.
I am a first generation Canadian designer from Winnipeg, Manitoba.
I gained an interest in Experiential Design as I maneuvered through my own artistic practice. I realized there were not enough high quality exhibition spaces for black artists who don’t fit into a traditional gallery setting.
I figured, if the space I was searching for doesn't exist, it is my duty to create it.
This brought me into the Experiential Design program at Sheridan College. I find that as I spend more time designing, my practice is constantly evolving. Research has become central in my conceptual development, allowing me to create spaces that have an impact. Ultimately, I want to design spaces that support meaningful connection whether it be with others, through history or circumstances.
